Ο ίδιος μάλιστα το επιβεβαιώνει!
Τhe actor who plays the fan favorite angel Castiel confirms his appearance in the first two episodes of the new season and discusses his hopes for Castiel's redemption.
The series follows Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers bound by tragedy and blood to the one thing that runs through both their veins − hunting monsters. Over the past few seasons, Dean and Sam faced insurmountable obstacles. The power struggle between good and evil has raged on, with the new King of Hell, Crowley, ultimately emerging as their adversary. Shockingly, Crowley had made a secret deal with Sam and Dean’s closest friend, the angel Castiel, who is now a desperate freedom fighter on the losing side of a post-Apocalyptic civil war in Heaven; together, the uneasy allies sought to open a door to Purgatory, where a great untapped well of souls lie waiting to be used as the ultimate form of military power. Sam and Dean reeled from the betrayal by their friend — and raced to stop the angel and demon before they opened that dangerous, otherworldly door.
Season Seven
The Winchesters will find themselves in an increasingly sinister, changing landscape, up against a new foe unlike anything they’ve ever fought. They’ll find their old tricks, weapons and hiding places all rendered useless. All they’ll have is each other. And the certainty that, like the last of the cowboy outlaws, whatever they face, they’re not going down without a fight.
Misha Collins came onto the series the beginning of season four and instantly won fans over; so much that with season five Collins was bumped up to series regular status and kept the rank through season six. After the season six finale, Sera Gamble revealed to TV Line that the actor would not be a series regular in the seventh season, “When it comes to Supernatural, our philosophy is that everyone moves in and out and weaves in and out of the story, obviously with the exception of Sam and Dean. We love Misha. We love and adore the character of Castiel. His character developed to this extent and went in this unexpected direction because we were so inspired by him.”
She went on to describe the season six cliffhanger as a “very pivotal moment in Cas' development,” adding that the character has “transformed.” Continuing she reveals, “Basically, that’s what we’ll be exploring next season, so there’s just a big change.”
Collins is set to return for the season premiere but Gamble refused to disclose anymore information regarding the angel's role, if any, for the upcoming season. The actor himself told aoltv.com, "I don't really know what my role on the show is going to be. I know that I'm going to be in the first two episodes at this point, but I don't know beyond that what the season holds for me."
Collins mentioned that he hadn't read the second script at the time but he was hopeful for "some redemption" for the pretty boy angel. He also stated that regardless of how often Castiel appears in the seventh season or where the writers take the character that he would have no hard feelings and that being apart of the series has been "the best work environment I've ever had."
Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins. Recurring appearances from Jim Beavers and Mark Sheppard. Created by Eric Kripke with executive producers McG, Robert Singer, Sera Gamble and Phil Sgriccia.
